Emily Rubenstein, Esq.

Founding Attorney

Emily E. Rubenstein is passionate about fighting for the interests of families navigating life transitions. She recognizes that clients come to her during difficult times in their lives, so she focuses on treating them with compassion, strength, and emotional intelligence.

With fierce advocacy and a calming spirit, Emily negotiates and litigates family and divorce cases, whether amicable or contentious. She works with appraisers, forensic accountants, and other financial experts to identify, characterize, and protect assets and income.

Emily’s favorite part of her work is helping clients get through the divorce process and onto happier and healthier places. She also takes pride in hard-fought court victories and settling difficult cases that many thought were impossible to settle.

When not in the office, Emily, a Los Angeles native, is an avid reader, music appreciator, sports fan, and explorer of California's mountains and coast.

Krystal De Santiago, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Krystal De Santiago has practiced family law for her entire legal career and is a proud UCLA alumnus. She has experience settling and litigating divorce, support, child custody, and visitation disputes. She approaches every case with compassion and tenacity.

Prior to working at ERL, she worked for a widely respected family law judge at the Pasadena Courthouse. There, she observed hundreds of family law matters, including Requests for Orders regarding support, child custody, discovery disputes, trials, and various other family law proceedings. She also conducted family law research and analyzed pleadings and motions. Additionally, Krystal worked for several years at the Los Angeles Center for Law and Justice.

When not in the office, Krystal spends time with her family (including her beloved dachshunds) and catching the latest movie.

Ashley Patterson has worked in the legal field for nearly a decade, gaining experience in trusts and estates, employment law, and family law. She is proficient in conversational French and is currently in law school, concentrating in family law. When not in the office or class, she spends time with her family and appreciates opera and fitness.
Jennifer Morales

PARALEGAL
Jennifer Morales has worked in family law for nearly a decade. She earned her bachelor's degree in legal studies from the University of La Verne and has assisted with divorces, premarital agreements, child custody, and other family law matters. When not in the office, she spends time with her family, plays the keyboard, and crafts.
